Passing Pattern Issue 3 Launch Party

Come celebrate the launch of Issue 3 of Passing Pattern — an issue built around the theme: The Game We Inherit.

For many of us, our love for football was passed down — from parents, friends, mentors, or neighbors. This issue asks: From what we’ve been given, what do we cherish? What’s worth passing on? What needs to be left behind?

We’re also looking ahead. It’s 2025 — a quarter of the way through the century. What is taking shape now, and where will the game be in 2050? What kind of football will the next generation inherit?

What to expect:

Pickup Soccer — From 7PM to 10PM, hop into a rotating pickup session hosted by our friends at @wolcottfootballclub. Quick-fire games: 7 minutes or first to 2 goals.

Foot Tennis Tournament — Later in the evening we’ll run a foot tennis tourney with a special prize for the winners.

Merch Booths — Score rare gear and vintage kits from @crossbarsyndicate and Wolcott FC. Expect one-off drops, retro heat, and unique memorabilia.

Music by guesst — Spinning the soundtrack for the night.

This is more than a magazine launch — it’s a gathering for the football community. A place to hang, talk, play, and dream the game forward.

Football is a global community — built on solidarity, resistance, and care. If you’re reading this with food in your fridge and safety overhead, you’ve already won. But for millions in Palestine, the struggle continues.

Let’s show up for something bigger than ourselves.
